Get Videx working again.
Start with videx doctor. It checks the Videx command, dependencies, local folders, queue database, and companion state.
videx is not recognized
Close and reopen your terminal after installation. Then run videx doctor. If it still fails, reinstall Videx from the latest release and make sure its install folder is on your PATH.
FFmpeg is missing
Videx can perform some basic downloads without FFmpeg, but merging streams, conversion, thumbnails, and embedded subtitles need it. Run videx doctor, then follow its installation guidance.
Videx is offline
Run videx app again. It starts the local service and opens the installed interface. If the command is not found, reinstall Videx or add its install directory to PATH.
Unsupported or private source
Update Videx first. Some sources require authorized local access, and DRM-protected media cannot be processed. Videx does not bypass restrictions or grant permission to copy media.
